Closing the season

October is the final stretch of the season.

It’s difficult to predict the whims of the heavenly office. Therefore, there’s no time to waste, and it’s best to close the season so that the coming season doesn’t leave you with excruciating pain for wasted months.
The most important thing is winter sowing and planting. It’s important to choose the right time to prevent seeds or root vegetables from sprouting this fall.
Not all crops can be sown, but only cold-resistant and suitable varieties. These include various types of onions, carrots, beets, radishes, Chinese cabbage, herbs, and greens such as sorrel, dill, cilantro, parsley, spinach, etc.
Winter sowing should be done when normal frosts arrive.

In the meantime, you can prepare the beds for winter sowing, apply fertilizer, make furrows, collect soil separately, and store it in a warm place.
The main rules apply to all types of soil and all gardeners, without exception:

- soil depletion: you won’t achieve a good harvest if you plant the same crop in the same place every year;

- nutrition: without adding anything other than ash to the soil, without fertilizing it with anything else, the soil will become depleted, and alkalization will also occur.

There’s practically no better way to relieve soil fatigue than humates:

- when they enter the soil, they provide essential nutrients for soil microbiota;

- they increase the soil’s microbiological activity.

Potassium humate "Bioresource" Universal is ideal for application to the soil after harvest and at the end of the season. It acts as a soil conditioner, relieving soil fatigue and saturating it with labile organic compounds.

Potassium humate "Bioresource" Universal is applied to the soil at a rate of 0.1 liter per 100 square meters with a water consumption of 3-4 liters.
And another useful life hack: it’s best to leave the beds elevated so that excess water drains away in the spring and the soil warms up faster.
